Her Nursery… Finished!

Mar 06, 2012

This little girl can now be welcomed into her own space and place in this world.

This has been such a fun project for my husband and I.  Its not very often that you start a room from pretty much scratch, and for such special reason!

And what is more… so much of what she will be surrounded with comes from those who will be so special in her life and were made with love… just for her.

Like that blanket hanging above her crib.  Made by one of her Great Grandmothers.

As is the blanket hanging over the edge… from another Great Grandmother.

The blanket over the chair?  From one of my dear co-workers.

The cradle to the right?  That was actually my husband’s.  I love that.

I was pretty conscious that I wanted to surround her with beautiful, meaningful, inspiring things.  Thanks to Memories by Jane, I received this lovely temple print that goes perfectly in her room. Maybe one of her first words will be “temple”.

This was my dresser growing up, and now it will be hers.  I love the thought of that.

That darling “I am a child of God” print came from Little Miss Missy.

As did this “I Love to see the Temple” print.

That painting came from one of my husband’s great-grandmothers, so one of my baby’s great-great-grandmothers.  I just painted the frame to freshen it up a bit.

There is another print from Little Miss Missy.  And that butterfly was decor used in a baby shower from my mother-in-law – I love it!

That shelf?  From our old fence.  I had my husband make it into a shelf.  He is good at making my crazy visions actually happen.

Well… there is a little peak into her future world.  She can come anytime now.  We are ready and waiting.

The nursery looks so lovely. I would like for you to read two articles on crib bumper pads and why they should NOT be used. PLEASE read these, dear Sister.
Sent with love and prayers for you and baby.

truly so happy for you and your new lil family! It is so fun and so many NEW experiences. I sneaked a peak on facebook of your lil Hannah. Her name is one of my top favorite names. (side note: It is spelled the same way if spelled backwards hehe)
