Names of Christ… Now Available!

Feb 22, 2012

I am so excited that these are now ready!

And as you can see… I went with two different covers, rather than one.

Little Miss Missy made so many wonderful options that I just couldn’t narrow it down!

This cover was the CLEAR winner of your votes…

so thank you for making it so easy for me to choose.  :)

But this one was the winner with the teenagers I spoke to…

so… voila!  The final decision is to have both of them.

Wouldn’t this book be a great thing for their Easter baskets?

So here is the low down…

Each page has a separate name of Christ that you can study.

The purpose of this book is to help you consider the different facets and characteristics of Christ as you study his names.  And as you study them, it can help you understand Him, His Atonement, and the charge for us to become as He is.

Also, as you study the Doctrine and Covenants, you may notice that he often introduces Himself at the beginning of each revelation by using one or more of his titles.  I don’t think those names are randomly selected, but rather indicative of who He is and the correlation of that name with the doctrine that will be given in that section.  It is all so very enlightening, and as you understand those names, it can help you gain further insight into the revelations themselves.

There are places on each page to record scriptures

that name is used in (and I have already started you off with one scripture for each name), as well as places you can write your thoughts about why He has that name.

Wouldn’t this be great for  family scripture study?

There is also an entire page for you to write your thoughts

about that name and how it gives you insights into our Savior and your relationship with Him.

These books are 171 pages each, 6 x9 in size, with over 70 names of Christ

waiting for you to better understand, along with some pages in the back without names on top that you can fill in as you find additional names that you would like to include.

If you would like to purchase this book,

just go to the “shopping tab” at the top of this site, find the book you would like and it will take you to my e-store.

FYI…

the e-store company I use is called Create Space and they are very professional and FAR better at fulfilling these orders than I could ever hope to be.  With that said, if you have any questions or issues concerning your order, please contact them they will be more than happy to help you!

Also,

when you order these books the title of the book will come up in your shopping cart.  Because both covers have the same title, just compare the title numbers to make sure you have ordered the covers you prefer.  It is pretty easy.

I hope you love these books!  I will be periodically posting some of the names I have studied to help you along if needed.

Thank You everyone!

Thank you so much! This is such an awesome idea! I was showing my 14 year old daughter the covers last night and I loved the red one and she loved the tan/blue one–how funny! :) You are so amazing with all of your ideas for scripture studying.

Is there any chance you are selling these in pdf format? We live in China and shipping is prohibitively expensive for us. Thanks, Anne

I was wondering if you would be offering your journals in an electronic format that you can download-maybe a pdf or something can type into. Thanks.

    Hi Mindy,
Thank you for your question! Because of copyright issues, that isn’t in the cards right now, but I will look further into it. Thank you for asking! :)

Is this one also available at your “Quilted Bear” booth or is it only online?

    Hi Jen!
It will be available there soon. It will take a couple of weeks – but it will be there! :)

On a semi-related note…have you read Elder Bednar’s new book “Increase in Learning”? I think you would really enjoy it!

Great non-candy edition to my children’s Easter baskets! We study the names of Christ every year at Christmas time (there are so many names!) but I’ve never thought about having them in book form.

Congratulations on another job well done!
Will you be offering these through Amazon as well? Just love the free shipping for orders over $25 since we spend so much money through there.

Will this be offered at amazon like the others? Also, still planning in doing the “house of Israel” book???
    Thx
    Sam

YES! They will be on Amazon… it just takes a little while for it to show up on their site, but it is in the process. I will post about it when I see that it is there! :)

Love this journal…will be ordering it next week as well as the Chapter and Topics journals. Have you ever considered making a “Women in the Scriptures” journal? If yiou have already how can I get one. I have wanted to do one for some time but it is rather overwhelming so I keep putting it off…could use all the help I can get. Thaks so much. :)
