October: Becoming More Christlike

Here are all 5 lessons (for young men and young women) for October!  October’s theme is “Becoming More Christlike” and these lessons are really awesome!

This package goes with the lesson:  “How Can I Become More Christlike?“.  This lesson has a page with the formula of how to gain Christlike qualities that is found in Preach My Gospel.  So you can print that formula several times as you study and work on different Christlike qualities.

This package also has a study sheet for 3 Nephi 17 that helps you REALLY dive into that chapter.  And among other things, it has a study page and illustrations to go with Elder Oaks’ parable, “The Parable of the Wealthy Father”.

This study and teaching package is for the topic:  “How Can I Develop Christlike Love?“.

This package is packed full of study and application material.  So you 1- Study what Christlike love is, and then 2- we give you 24 everyday situations.  Those 24 situations will provide for amazing discussion as you apply Christlike love to those scenarios.

This package is for “How Can I Be More Christlike in My Service to Others?“.

We really like this lesson because it distinguishes between service and Christlike service.  In fact, we have given you great suggestions on how to teach this with clarity.  A really great additional story to use would be from President Uchtdorf’s October 2014 Women’s Conference when he talked about the visiting teachers who didn’t just say “let us know if you need anything,” but rather did what they saw needed to be done.

Among many things, this lesson has a really great study sheet for the Parable of the Good Samaritan.  The study pages guides you through the parable with meaningful questions and tips as you go.  This package also has 3 printables that can fit in school lockers!  That way your kids can remember the message every day at school!

This lesson REALLY focuses on the necessity of developing patience now, and the gift that patience will be throughout the many phases of life we go through.  This package has some really great hand outs too!

This package is super fun and has a REALLY great study sheet to help you get a ton out of the story of the ten lepers!

This package also has a printable gratitude journal, which would be a really great way to help those you are teaching apply what they learn during the lesson.
