8 Scriptures You Can Use to #LIGHTtheWORLD

This Christmas season, join Mormon.org in sharing light with the world. Starting December 1, you can join daily service challenges to spread light wherever you are using your unique talents. Make lunches for the homeless, sing Christmas carols to the homebound, or share your favorite scripture with your friends and family on social media.
Below you will find 8 beautiful verses of scriptures that you can absolutely save and share again- post one on your Facebook page with your testimony. Share another on your Instagram with a personal story. Pin all of them to your Christmas board with simple words of encouragement or even share one in a text or email with a challenge. This scripture emphasis that our way back to God's presence is through Christ and Christ only. Note the three names you could also use for Christ: life, light of the world, and the word of truth and righteousness.
Jesus Christ is the light in the darkness. The darkness doesn't understand all that Christ is and offers. Sometimes we don't either but if we keep walking towards that light, we will be on the right path learning a little bit more with each step we take.
What a beautiful promise of continual growth- a light that grows brighter and brighter. Think of the Christmas star on top of your tree growing brighter as you endure with faithfulness and add good this December in the 25 Ways in 25 Days challenge.
Light and truth will always win. There will be times when it is hard to see the light over the darkness but it is there and it will always shine brighter and longer than any of the darkness that comes.
Who do you want by your side as you walk in the light of the Lord? Who can you invite to join the journey with you? Whose hand can you hold so when you stumbles you don't stay down?
We don't need to walk in the dark. We have a light switch! All you have to do is turn it on by following Christ.
When we choose to have faith in the Savior of the world, we choose to walk in light. We choose joy.
The Lord is our light. There is no reason to fear with Him by our sides. What an immensely comforting scripture.
