These #PRINCEofPEACE study guides and matching printable are the perfect way to remember our Savior this Easter Season!
The #PRINCEOfPEACE Easter campaign is sponsored by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
The scriptural theme for the campaign is Isaiah 9:6,“…and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counseller, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”
I love this scripture because it reminds us of Christ’s mission and love. And I love The Hallelujah Chorus from Handel’s Messiah. This song was blaring from my office on repeat while I was designing these printables. I can never hear this song without feeling hope, comfort, and inspiration.
We live in troubled times. I often hesitate to read the news because it is so unsettling.
After just glancing at the news, I am often left struggling with mild anxiety. And that’s just from the headlines!
There have countless nights when I have stayed up worrying about my family and friends, my children, student loans that need to be paid…the list goes on and on.
But when I turn my burdens over to the Savior, I am always reminded that peace is available anytime and anywhere. This reassurance is something I depend on like a lifeline to keep me afloat.
About the #PRINCEofPEACE Easter Campaign
This campaign will start on began on March 31st at Mormon.org/Easter. It will run through Holy Week, starting on Palm Sunday, April 9th, through Easter Sunday.
This movie is inspiring and powerful. I can’t watch it without crying.
There will be a focus on a Christlike attribute each day of Holy Week. These eight attributes, and their scripture themes, will be showcased on Mormon.org/Easter and on social media outlets worldwide.
The eight attributes are faith, compassion, forgiveness, repentance, gratitude, scripture, prayer, and hope.
(You can find more details about the campaign here and here.)
Free #PRINCEofPEACE Study Guides
As soon as I heard about this awesome campaign, I knew I wanted to make simple, easy-to-use, study guides featuring these attributes and the accompanying scriptures.
I have created these mini study guides help you and your family easily study and apply these attributes. These little study guides are also great for church classes, as well as individuals.
You can print each study guide on a regular piece of copy paper (8.5×11), they only use black ink, yay! You will fold each piece of paper into fourths to make a small booklet. The featured scripture will be the cover, with study and application questions on the inside and back cover.
These study guides can be as intense as you want them to be. For my personal study, I am looking up additional scriptures and trying to be very thorough and thoughtful with my answers.
But my five-year-old can just draw in her answers, and I love that too. After we have filled out our answers, we get to have a discussion about each of these attributes, what they mean, and what we can do to apply them more in our lives.
When I showed my neighbor what I had created, she said she was going to print out different attribute study guides for each member of her family.
Then they would look up scriptures and write their answers and they share their answers with the rest of the family. There are so many great ways to use these study guides!
And the accompanying free 8×10 printable looks so nice in a frame and makes a great gift. Best of all, it matches the mini-study guides!
