Easy YUMMY Spinach Dip | The Red Headed Hostess

Easy and Yummy Spinach Dip!

I have made spinach dip more than once this season! This is one of the have-on-hand recipes when you need to bring a yummy something somewhere, but you don’t have a lot of time to cook away…. that is a pretty good description of December actually.

Check out how easy… and yummy!

Spinach Dip

1 cup light mayo

1 container of sour cream (16 oz)  (when I double this recipe, I do one light container and one regular)

1 package Knorrs Vegetable Soup Mix (or Liptons… whatever you can find)

1 can sliced water chestnuts (4 oz) (drain and then dice the slices)

1/2 of a package of frozen spinach (10 oz).  (Drain, thaw and chop up)

*  Mix everything together and let sit in the fridge for a couple of hours or overnight.

*  Serve with crackers and baguette slices (those are the biggest hit!)

* For extra special presentation, serve in a large bread bowl

  1. This sounds so yummy. I want you to know that your Christmas cherry salad was a great big hit in our family. It is being added to our recipes for the holidays. That’s every holiday, we like it so much. Merry Christmas Shannon. Just think next year you will know the true joy of Christmas with your new baby girl. Kids make the season, Their laughs, their smiles and loud joy when the present is just what they wanted.
Please know you have made me want to study the scriptures more. I see the scriptures in a new way because of you. I loved the maps, they had my brain working in a new and different way. I must be more like you. The visual learning is great. It works for me, I didn’t realize how great the differences could be. Thank you for the many wonderful gifts you share with us all year long.

  3. I have no idea what I did to send two comments. My finger must have hit the enter key, I can be so impatient at times. I need to work on that next year. I have no idea where the last of my comment went.

  4. A very BIG THANK YOU for all that you give to us. May you have every wish of your heart, you certainly deserve it. Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year.
