Man of Glory – Painting by Anthony Sweat – Canvas Art
See the description of this painting from the artist, Anthony Sweat:
Once when Jesus was called “good master” by a man he responded “Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God” (Matthew 19:17). He surely was good, but the Savior typically deflected compliments and sought to give the glory to God our Father (see Matthew 6:13; Moses 4:2). Because he was so perfectly meek and humble, God rewarded Jesus with the very glory he often avoided, even a “fulness of glory” (D&C 93:6). When Jesus returns to this earth, it won’t be as non-descript carpenter from Nazareth, but as King of kings and Lord of lords, “clothed in the brightness of his glory” (D&C 65:5) to rule and reign over the earth “upon the throne of his glory” (Matthew 25:31). I painted this image to represent that Kingship and glory which are most deservedly his.
