AND you can use these to help your kids listen during General Conference!  Just set them out and have them listen for the topics on the cards.  As they hear the speaker teach about one of the doctrines, they can put them in a pile.  At the end of the talk they can count them up and then put them back so they can listen to the next speaker and make a new pile.  They can keep a tally of their points and exchange them for treats, privileges or fun prizes.

You can find these cards (and a bunch more pictures) HERE.  🙂

  1. Shannon! I just got these and they are AMAZING! I can’t believe how creative and brilliant the activities are! Thank you so much!!!! You are right – we will use these for years!

  2. Wow! These are just amazing. I have struggled teaching my 5 kids because if I cater to one, the others are bored – but you have given me a wealth of ideas here so I can use the same cards for all of them on their level.

    I cannot thank you enough!

  3. I just got these as well and I am in AWE! I feel like I teach my kids the same things over and over and as I was reading through your AMAZING ideas I could see how I could teach them with much more effectiveness. And in a fun way! I love how these cards can be a constant while we dive into the different topics.

    Seriously, thank you.

  4. I had to come back and leave a comment because I just printed them out and my kids have been LOVING THEM! My toddler was pointing to some of them that he already recognized and then I was able to teach him a few more. My older kids were even teaching him. I was reading some of the activities to the kids and they wanted to do them right then. So awesome! Thank you!

  5. I. Love. these. Among all the great activities, we are totally going to do the general conference activity. I feel like so many of the activities are just to keep them occupied, but I especially like these because they help them listen intently to the speaker.

You have done it again. Thank you so much.

  6. I really, really love these. I printed them for my kids and my 7 year old was asking all sorts of questions and I had them do what you suggested in one of the activities and had them search in True to the Faith and write what they learned on the back. She said she wants to do one card a day. My husband and I were thrilled!!!! This is the first time she has done anything like this. You really know how to help us teach our kids and learn for ourselves. Thank you!!!

  7. The thing that you are really amazing at is getting the learner really involved in the learning process. I feel that is what everything you do is about. It isn’t about what the teacher is going to do – but rather what the learner is going to do to get it in their minds and hearts. That is why your stuff is so amazing and leaves impact. There really is no fluff in your stuff. You know how to teach to all levels with power and in a really fun and interesting way. Thank you for the countless hours you clearly spend. It is not unnoticed or unappreciated.

  8. I am going to give these to my friend who is taking the missionary discussions. She is trying to study but everything is so new to her and she really wants to keep everything straight. These are perfect for her. She can study on her own and write what she learns on the back of the cards.

    Thank you!!!

  9. I just got these and I love them. My husband was reading your 19 activities before I had a chance to and he said that they were some of the best teaching activities he has ever seen. He was really impressed! He asked how much these cards were and he said he would have paid 10 times that to have tools like this to teach his kids. I took that as I could spend 10 times that on your store and get a bunch more stuff. 🙂

  10. I just had to come and leave a comment to tell you how much my kids are loving these cards! I printed them out as soon as I got them and I soon had to make a copy for each of my kids. My son who is preparing for his mission LOVED your mission prep suggestion. My younger kids were begging me to do several of the other activities you suggested for some Sabbath activities.

Tomorrow I am off to the dollar store for fun prizes for your AWESOME general conference activities with these cards. The kids can’t wait – they are super excited to use these cards for conference.

Thank you so much!!! I am so grateful for your talents and the time you give.

  11. All I can say is that your stuff is priceless and I am SO happy there is someone out there with a brain like yours. This package is amazing. You are right – every home needs this. And I agree with the comment that I would pay 10 times this for the value this package will offer to my family, but I know you keep things really affordable so many people have access to these. You are so awesome!

  12. I am SO happy I got this package. It is WAY more than I even expected. I am telling everyone I know that they need this!

  13. If you are a customer deciding whether or not you should get this package. Get it. It will be the best $6 you have spent. For the equivalent of some lunch money you will have years of ideas of really cool ways to teach your kids.

  14. I printed these off for my activity day girls. I wanted a good conference activity for them and these are perfect. Thank you!

  15. Thank you. I am a single mom who struggles to teach my kids. After working every day I am so tired, but I want to teach them the gospel so badly. This is more than I expected. I love every single idea. And thank you for making everything affordable. I know these must take you hours and days. Me and my 3 kids thank you more than you can know.

  16. So I printed two sets of these cards off and we gathered round the LR for FHE to play a game of concentration. When some one found a match they had to tell two things they knew about that match. WAKE UP CALL!!! Some of my children needed to learn some things. My perspective elder/missionary is NOT ready to teach people about certain gospel subjects. Thank Shannon! We needed this. Our RM son recommended taking Preach My Gospel and studying the scriptures in the teaching sections for Family Scripture study and after one week, I can see a difference in our focused study and preparing the children better for missionary work.
I hope you know how much your are helping some of us with all your great teaching ideas and support materials. Love the Red Headed Hostess!
