How Can I Help Others Learn About Heavenly Father?

Lots of ideas for studying and teaching about how to teach others about Heavenly Father!

I really, REALLY liked this lesson.  In fact, to be honest, if I were looking through all of the lesson titles, I wouldn’t have been likely to choose this particular lesson over the others.  However, after studying this – I think everyone should study this lesson!

How can I help others learn about Heavenly Father teaching and study ideas

First, I really liked reading the suggested material in True to the Faith and Preach My Gospel.  It was excellent.  The printouts you can see in this picture are available at the end of this post – but I wanted to mention the printout you can see above in my Come Follow Me Adult Study Guide.  Sometimes I like to put long printouts in and fold them up so they fit within the pages.  One really good thing about this is that it provides more space to write on.

By the way, the quotes you see above go really well with the end of the teachings in True to the Faith (under “God the Father) where it talks about coming to know Him personally.

Here they are for you:

“I find that when I get casual in my relationship with divinity and when it seems that no divine ear is listening and no divine voice is speaking, that I am far, far away.  If I immerse myself in the scriptures the distance narrows and the spirituality returns.”  (President Spencer W. Kimball, Teachings, p.135)

“We can and must go often and carefully to the word of God.  If we become casual in our study of the scriptures, we will become casual in our prayers.”  (President Henry B. Eyring, Ensign, November 2001, 17)

The best part of the lesson was studying the two scripture activities in the lesson.  EXCELLENT!  I really, REALLY liked this part and I had never looked at these scriptures in this way.

  4. I have been searching your site to find the tutorial on how to make talks into pamphlet form and I can’t seem to find it. Please help me find this I really desire to learn how to do it. Thank you, Randy

  5. I am learning so much from your insights. I am especially impressed with what you gleaned from Ammon’s words to Lamoni. Would you be willing to share the rest of your notes from Alma 18-22? If you would even be willing to email them just to me I would be so grateful. I hope through following you this year to be able to learn from you and be able to to lean a little more on my understanding, but until then I would be grateful if you would share. Thanks!
