In Genesis 25, the key moment isn’t simply hunger or red pottage. It’s how Esau viewed covenant responsibility.

Jacob understood what the birthright meant.
Esau asked, “What profit shall this birthright do to me?”

The birthright wasn’t just inheritance. It meant guiding God’s covenant family and helping establish Israel.

And in one decision, Esau chose what felt urgent over what was sacred.

That’s why this story still matters.

It invites us to ask:

✨ How often do small choices reveal what I truly value?

This week in Come, Follow Me, we study Genesis 24–33.

These chapters explore covenant identity, personal change, and what it means to become someone new through the Lord. We see journeys of faith, moments of uncertainty, and the powerful reminder that discipleship is not about perfection, but about choosing, again and again, to let God shape who we are becoming.

Scripture study was never meant to be a race or something you had to start perfectly in January.

Life changes. Seasons shift. And sometimes we begin again, not because we failed, but because we are still learning and growing.

If you haven’t started yet, it’s not too late. And, to be honest, it’s never too late.

The covenant path is walked one small step at a time, and every step forward counts.

Start where you are.
Begin with what you can.
Trust that even small moments of turning toward the Lord matter more than perfect consistency.
