The Work Moves Forward in Nauvoo

In this section, the Saints are settling in Nauvoo after the trials of Missouri, and the Lord gives them a bold new vision. He commands them to build a temple where sacred ordinances—like baptisms for the dead—can be performed, and to construct the Nauvoo House as a gathering place for visitors and Saints alike.

The Lord also calls leaders, including Hyrum Smith, William Law, and George Miller, to help move His work forward. He promises blessings to the faithful and warns those who delay. This revelation is filled with reminders that the Lord’s work is both spiritual and practical, and that He expects His people to act in faith even in times of uncertainty.
