Marriage is an important part of God’s plan for His children.

The Lord teaches that marriage is ordained of God and is meant to bring man and woman together to have families.

This isn’t just a tradition— it’s part of the purpose of creation!

God designed marriage to bring happiness, love, and stability.

In “The Family: A Proclamation to the World,” we learn that marriage between a man and a woman is central to His plan.

It’s where we learn to serve, forgive, and grow together.

Marriage also allows families to grow.

From the beginning, God commanded His children to “multiply and replenish the earth.”

Families are one of His greatest blessings!

When we honor marriage, we follow God’s plan, strengthen our homes, and help build a world filled with love and righteousness.

After teaching seminary for 13 years, I’ve seen firsthand how deeply teens resonate with learning about spiritual gifts - they want to know more about this.

Try this with your family:

1. Sit down together and explore Section 46. Talk about examples of spiritual gifts listed there.

2. Ask questions like:

• “What spiritual gifts do you think President Nelson or Joseph Smith have?”

• “What spiritual gifts do you see in each family member?”

• “Which spiritual gifts would you love to develop?”

• “What gifts does your patriarchal blessing highlight?”
