This next week’s sections teach us amazing lessons.

The prophets speak the words of God. The words of scripture - in the Bible, Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants - are literally God’s words to us. We also have the words of God through current prophets and leaders through General Conference.

Parents in Zion must teach our children about:
-The Doctrine of Repentance
-Faith in Christ
-Baptism
-The Gift of the Holy Ghost
-Prayer
-Walking Uprightly Before the Lord

Our example and teachings of these truths are vital to our children. Conversion and testimony do not happen by chance. These grow through deliberate conversations and being a continuous example and teacher.

This verse has stood out to me from this week of readings. It’s made me pause and ask myself…

Is there anyone I believe doesn’t ‘deserve’ my forgiveness?

Then wondered, maybe the reason I forgive isn’t for THEM - but for me.

Maybe the reason is because of my faith in the Lord’s infinite Atonement — and knowing that His sacrifice will help heal me.

I then wondered if I might not be forgiving MYSELF at times.

What a mental journey it’s been for me. I invite you on a similar journey. Curious if that someone you’re not forgiving be YOU?

Curious if we can be open to RECEIVE forgiveness - as well as give it?
