This wonderful teaching tool is for Primary or families to help their children understand the June 2018 Primary theme, “Heavenly Father Hears and Answers My Prayers.” This LDS Primary Sharing Time teaching package is designed specifically for August 2018 – Week 3 or 4. We have provided wonderful teaching tools and suggestions to help your LDS Primary understand how, “Answers to Prayers Come From Heavenly Father in Many Ways.”
This teaching package is over 30 pages and includes the following:
Teaching Ideas and Suggestions
- Tips for Planning a Successful Sharing Time
- Sharing Time Suggestions
- Special Delivery (Messages about Receiving Answers to Prayers) –Use this teaching activity to help the Primary children understand that answers to prayers come from Heavenly Father in many ways! The children will open various postcards from the “Primary Mailbox”. Each postcard contains a testimony from a prophet, scripture hero, or general authority about the power of prayer!
- Scripture Search – This idea was inspired by the “Encourage understanding (reading scriptures) section of the lesson manual. Use these word strips to help the Primary children understand how Heavenly Father answers our prayers.
- Primary Mailbox (Interactive/Testimony Activity) – Use this activity to get the Primary children involved in teaching the lesson! This drawing/writing activity is a wonderful way to also help the children make meaningful connections.

- Note to Parents – For Primary leaders teaching the Sharing Time lesson, “Answers to Prayers Come From Heavenly Father in Many Ways”, this note can be given to each child to take home and give to their parents. This note contains suggested questions the parent could ask and discuss as they continue the child’s learning in the home.
