Remember Lot’s Wife- The Red Headed Hostess

Remember Lot’s Wife

I came across this talk yesterday,

and it has lit a fire in my soul.

I needed this… and my husband needed this.  We read this side-by-side last night, and it hit home to us.  Especially the story at the end about Elder Holland and his wife.

I think there are many times in our lives where the principle taught in this talk needs to be reminded to us.  Especially as the Lord makes us into something and sends us into unknown territories.

“Remember Lot’s Wife” is going to be one of my new personal mottos.

And, by the way… here is where I found it.  One of my favorite sites.  If you go there, then you can listen to it.

Here is the PDF for “Remeber Lot’s Wife”:  Holland Talk

P.S.  I get a lot of my pictures from a subscription to a clipart company… and this picture they had was titled “explosion shepherd”…  that gave me a good laugh.  Someone needs a Bible lesson 🙂

  1. I am printing it off right now! I have yet to find a talk that someone suggests reading, that I didn’t need to hear myself-so thank you for the information. 🙂

  2. I love this. I teach home-study seminary. We covered this lesson a couple of weeks ago. I so wish I had seen this earlier.

  3. Thanks for that. I have listened to it twice in a row and love the message in it. I appreciate all your ideas, you are incredible.

  4. Hi Shannon! This was a wonderful! Thank you for a great reminder! So very grateful for your efforts, they truly bless my life, and in return I’m better able to look heavenward and serve others. You’re the best!

  5. Thank you so much for sharing this talk! It was just what I have needed to hear lately! I’m so glad I found your site..(via Pinterest.) 🙂

  6. Thank you for sharing this. I read your post a few weeks ago, right after I received a calling to be RS president, on Sister Holland’s talk, One needful thing. I have read that talk many times over the past few weeks and even used part of it in my lesson last Sunday. Thank you for your little bits of positive and uplifting messages you post.

  7. I sobbed the first time I heard this talk because of the ending. My husband is getting his doctorate degree and we have been in school the 10 years we’ve been married. I was asking myself these same questions when I heard this talk and it was like a direct answer to prayer. It gave me hope. Thanks for such an inspirational blog!
