2 Nephi 9 Marking Guide | The Red Headed Hostess
This happens to be one of my favorite chapters in the Book of Mormon.
It is a pivotal, “ah-ha” doctrine that helps connect dots and feel an immense amount of gratitude.
This marking guide is only for the first 12 verses of this chapter. Partly because of time constraints, but also partly because those are the verses I love.
Thanks for the updated info. on marking 2 Nephi 9:1-12. Please send the markings for 2 Nephi 3-9 so I can keep everythng in order and stay on course with the Sunday School lessons. I am learning so much and love the way you have marked the scriptures. Keep up the good work.
You are so generous.
Thank you so much for these! I love them!
Thank you!
I have learned so much from your scripture marking guides. They have taught me how to dissect each scripture and get a deeper meaning. Your website has been a great companion as I have been studying Elder Bednar’s book, Increase in Learning. Thanks so much!
Thank-you. I love to take what you are discovered, mix it with what I have discovered and VOILA I come up with my own personal application. I also love to mark scriptures and make notes in the margins after reading each conference Ensign. You have such inspiring thoughts.
THANKS! I love how you added the ideas for the scripture journals as well! Very awesome!
Thank you for all these wonderful things. You are amazing. And you help many many people with your fantastic insight.
Thank you so much for these study guides that go along with the lessons we are studying in SS! They are so great and I appreciate all of your time and insight in putting these together!
Thank you so much for posting this!! I am excited to use the guide…but I can not get it to open. Do you have any ideas for me? When I click on it the tab up top is “thinking” and then goes to google.com and the screen is blank white! I have tried to restart my laptop to see if the glitch is on my end–but it still doesn’t work. Do you have any idea what I am doing wrong? I have always been able to open up your files before…Thank you!
I just discovered your blog. I LOVE it! I am so excited to start applying these practices to my own scripture study! Thank you for the time and effort you put into this blog. I had attempted one for a little over a year and it was HARD! So, just know that it does not go un-noticed! Thank you! (I just wish I was as artistic as you are!)
Thank you again for all of the time that you put into sharing these marking guides! It helps so much!
This is a very cool approach. Thank you.
Thank you so much! These are just amazing and wonderful helps. (I’m guessing your sweet bambina has not arrived yet. Congratulations on that as well and blessings during her delivery!)
I have learned so much from your scripture marking guides. I have made sure I taken the time to read my scriptures now, and they have taught me how to dissect each scripture so I have a better understanding, rather than just passing over something that I didn’t understand. Please keep going….
I just found your site and am absolutely loving it. Oh my goodness! You are so talented. I love how you are using the journals. I am starting one tomorrow. Thanks for the inspiration. I can’t wait to see what else you do with your journals. Thanks so very very much.
Genius!!! I will place an order and I can’t wait to use these for my own personal study as well as for family study! Thanks for sharing your talent for scripture study in such an enlightened and easy way!!!
Silly question, what kind of pen do you use to write in your journal?
I learned to scripture journal from Brother Clark and from President Bednar while at Rick’s College. I love it. This summer when I prayed about what to teach my children this summer I felt that I should teach them how to scripture journal. My friend heard me talking about it and gave me the Family Scripture journal. We have written 3 days worth and we’re going to try lots of different strategies such as writing in buddy teams, topic, chapter, writing on the trampoline, etc. We will see what works best with 6 children under the age of 13. Thanks for your great work.
P.S. I have a helpful website on on house organization with a spiritual perspective that you might enjoy as well! -Krystal Meldrum
The comment you made about paying attention how this people had believed in an Atonement that would come 500 years after their time and how we had also believed in that Atoning sacrifice way before it happened, really strengthened me.
Thanks for this analysis.
