Scripture Marking for Doctrine and Covenants 76

I love Doctrine and Covenants 76.

It is in my top “must know” sections in the Doctrine and Covenants.  This is worth a good, serious study… over and over.  Section 76 is the earth shaking section about the Three Degrees of Glory, what Outer Darkness is, and a really good lesson on living for the life which is to come.

This is a suggested scripture marking guide.

I just went through and wrote down the way I mark my scriptures.  I like to do this every once in a while for my students and young women to show them different marking techniques other than coloring in a whole verse.  And this is a GREAT section to do this with!

If you have a family with kids who are old enough to do this, this would be a great challenge to give them.  And pretty soon, I will be posting a Family Home Evening Idea with this section – which would be a great follow up with all of the work they put into studying.

Here is the printout:  D&C 76 marking suggestions

  2. You won’t believe it! I was preparing over the weekend for my lesson tomorrow….it’s Section 76! I just ran downstairs to email another teacher, and I checked your blog. Can’t believe this….how helpful!!! Thanks for being inspired to post this!!! LOVE it!!!

  3. Shannon, you are a treasure and I feel so blessed to have found you! I was teaching a relief society lesson a few weeks ago on charity and quoted you – I indroduced your quote saying it was from a friends’ blog ( we have a few sisters who would frown on using some random persons quote from the internet)- so since you are a friend I thought I would introduce myself! LOL

I can not tell you how much my spirituality has been enhanced by following some of your teachings and suggestions found here, especially on studing the scriptures, thank you! I am reading the New testament and am about to fininsh Mathew and can not seem to find the sectionalization of Mark, am I missing it somewhere?
