Jesus taught the Nephites many things about prayer in 3 Nephi 18:15-24; 19:6-9, 15-36. What can you do to help your children look forward to their personal evening prayers?

One idea is to spend time making prayer jars with them. Take a few minutes to help them write down things that they are thankful for on slips of paper to put in the one jar.

Then, spend a few more minutes writing the names of people they would like to pray for or spiritual gifts that they desire on slips of paper to put in the other jar.

Each night before evening prayers, they can take a few slips of paper of each jar and include in their prayers what they have written that night!
