1. Lesson Planning Worksheets: Use these helpful planning sheets to help guide you as you prepare your lesson. We have included helpful teaching tips and great questions to consider while creating your Primary lesson plan.
2. Lesson Title Print: Print and display this illustrated lesson title that says “The Word of Wisdom”. This display print coordinates with everything found in this Primary teaching kit. Displaying this page can help those you are teaching keep their thoughts and attention on this important subject.
3. “Heavenly Father Gave Us The Word of Wisdom” Activity: This hands-on activity is a great way to help Primary children understand The Word of Wisdom. These custom illustrations are designed to compliment the activity found in the manual titled, “Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ Gave Us The Word of Wisdom”.
4. Doctrine and Covenants 89: Picture Matching Activity: The Primary children will love learning from the scriptures with this activity. Read from Doctrine and Covenants 89 and match the picture to the correct verse! We have even included two versions of this great learning activity: 1) A worksheet version that can be completed individually or as a class 2) An enlarged version that can be used as a visual on the board.
5. The Word of Wisdom Tic-Tac-Toe – Review Game: This is the perfect game to review The Word of Wisdom with Primary aged children. They will play tic-tac-toe as they answer questions from the lesson.
6. The Word of Wisdom Coloring Page: Have the children draw a picture of a meal that follows the teachings of The Word of Wisdom.
7. Parent Note: For primary teachers teaching Primary 3 lesson 14, this note can be given to each child to take home and give to their parents. This note contains suggested questions the parent could ask and discuss as they continue the child’s learning in the home.
