The Lord shows us time and time again that He can

The Lord shows us time and time again that He can work through those who trust in Him.

Moses, Enoch, Nephi, Joseph… they all have the story of weaknesses becoming strengths through the Lord.

This week (Doctrine and Covenants 67-70) is just one more example…

In November 1831, the early Saints decided to publish the revelations (over 60) that Joseph had received.

But they worried:

✨️ Was the wording good enough?

✨️ Would people judge or criticize them?

The Lord taught them—and teaches us today:

🧡 He speaks through imperfect people.

🧡 Our best efforts become enough with His help.

🧡 His truths shine even through human imperfections.

You don't have to be perfect—just trust that God will use your best efforts in amazing ways.

He knows what He's doing, and He chooses you for a reason.

One thing you can look forward to in Come, Follow Me next week! (June 23-29 & Doctrine and Covenants 67-70).

Jesus Christ can be the strength of our families. Families are a gift from God.

They’re meant to be a place of love, learning, and growth. But they’re also real and imperfect—full of ups and downs, stress, joy, and everything in between.

That’s why we need Jesus at the center. He strengthens us to forgive, to stay kind when it’s hard, and to keep choosing love.

Heavenly Father gave parents the responsibility to teach their children about faith, repentance, baptism, the Holy Ghost, and how to live in a Christlike way.

But I want you [youth and kids] to know—your role matters just as much.

You have a voice and influence in your family. You can be someone who brings peace, who encourages prayer, who reminds your family to invite Christ into everyday life.

When families pray together, study the gospel together, and go to church together, they don’t just grow closer to each other, they grow stronger in Christ.

He becomes the reason you can move forward together, even when things are hard.

No family has it all figured out. But every family can choose to turn to Jesus. I promise that when you do, you’ll feel His peace, His power, and His love in your home.

Have you ever wondered what it really takes to build Zion—especially when life feels hard and complicated?

In September 1831, Joseph and Emma Smith faced immense heartache after losing their own newborn twins.

Yet, amid their grief, they welcomed another set of twins into their home, adopting them after their mother, Julia Murdock, had passed away.

At the same time, Joseph was managing contention and criticism from some of the Saints.

Zion must have seemed impossibly far away.

But in this moment, the Lord reached out with clear guidance (D&C 64). He taught exactly what is required to build Zion—especially when it's hard.
