TEACHING PACKAGE

Introducing and teaching the theme is a critical part of whether the youth understand and connect with the new theme each year.  We have carefully designed a teaching package to help you with this important task.

This 2017 LDS Mutal Theme Teaching Package helps the youth understand how Joseph Smith applied James 1:5-6 to his own life and then acted upon the answers he received.  The illustrated timeline visually teaches the difference it can make in one person's life when they learn to "Ask of God in Faith".

THEME DUET BY HILARY WEEKS

Hilary Weeks hit it out of the park this year with this duet.  Every youth we have tested this song with has fallen in love with it!  The youth will love to listen and sing this song that contains an original verse from Hilary Weeks that is sung as a duet with the hymn, "Sweet Hour of Prayer."  Listen to this duet HERE.

TALK FOR YOUTH BY ANTHONY SWEAT

This talk for youth by Anthony Sweat is a perfect handout or mutual activity.  In a world where youth can get information at their fingertips, he helps them understand the effort that must go into asking of God when we lack wisdom.  He teaches three critical steps that must occur for each youth to apply James 1:5-6 to their lives.

DAILY JOURNALS

Back by popular demand!  We have two versions of daily journals for you to choose from, but this year they are spiral bound!  We also have group discounts for YW groups that will be immediately applied at checkout (no need for a special code!)

*Note:  this year we did not include the dates, but rather left a place for the dates to be written in.  This will allow a young woman to start at any point in the year, or even skip around in order to complete the Personal Progress experiences she still needs.

Both journals are daily journals with a question built into each day about the 2017 mutual theme.  This will help each young woman keep this theme on her mind daily.  Also, the first several pages of the journal are specifically about the mutual theme.

The journal with the blue background is the Personal Progress Edition.  Not only is it a daily journal, but each Sunday the young woman can work on a personal progress experience.  Each experience is customized and designed so each requirement is fulfilled, and if it is an experience that is meant to last one to several weeks, it is built right into the daily journal so the young woman can report on her progress.  There are also areas for class notes on Sundays!

The journal with the white background is the Gospel Topic Study Edition.  This is identical to the Personal Progress Edition, but for the young woman who has completed her Personal Progress, rather than Personal Progress experiences, there is a page where she can study a gospel topic each week.
