This wonderful teaching tool is for Primary or families to help their children understand the April 2018 Primary theme, “Prophets Teach Us to Live the Restored Gospel.” This LDS Primary Sharing Time teaching package is designed specifically for May 2018 – Week 4. We have provided wonderful teaching tools and suggestions to help your LDS Primary understand how, “Prophets Teach Me to Live The Word of Wisdom.”
This teaching package is over 40 pages and includes the following:
Teaching Ideas and Suggestions
- Tips for Planning a Successful Sharing Time
- Sharing Time Suggestions
- Attention Activity – Use these great printables to help you teach the Primary children that our bodies are a gift from Heavenly Father! This activity is a great way to introduce the lesson topic to the children!
- Scripture Matching Game – Use these printables to go along with the “Encourage Understanding (reading scriptures)” suggestion found in the lesson outline (“Prophets Teach Me to Live The Word of Wisdom”). The children will match scripture references as they learn about the Word of Wisdom!
- Word of Wisdom Grab Bag Activity – This fun Word of Wisdom “grab bag” activity was inspired by the “Encourage Application (playing a game) suggestion found in the lesson outline (“Prophets Teach Me to Live The Word of Wisdom”). The children will pick a card and decide if the image on the card is something that is good or bad for our bodies. The children will place the card in the appropriate bag (trash can or mouth).
- “Wheel of Word of Widsom” Primary Game – This fun game is a great way to get the Primary children involved in the lesson! They will continue to learn about the principles of the Word of Wisdom as they play along and answer the questions.
