This wonderful teaching tool is for Primary or families to help their children understand the January 2018 Primary theme, “I am a child of God, and He has a plan for me.” This LDS Primary Sharing Time teaching package is designed specifically for January 2018 – Week 4. We have provided wonderful teaching tools and suggestions to help your LDS Primary understand how, “I Have Agency, and I am Responsible for My Choices.”
This teaching package is over 25 pages and includes the following:
Teaching Ideas and Suggestions
- Tips for Planning a Successful Sharing Time
- Sharing Time Suggestions
- Choices and Consequences Activity – Use these helpful printables to go along with the suggestion found in the lesson outline. Teach the children about the importance of agency and being responsible for our choices.
- Scripture Activity (Doctrine and Covenants 37:4) – Share a scripture with the Primary children to help them understand that we were all given the gift of agency! We have included some wonderful teaching tips and ideas of how to use the scripture!
- “Choose Your Own Destiny” Primary Game – Get the Primary children involved in this important lesson with this meaningful game! This “Choose Your Own Destiny” activity was inspired by the quote from President Monson, “Decisions Determine Destiny”. - Note to Parents: For Primary leaders teaching the Sharing Time lesson, “I Have Agency, and I am Responsible for My Choices.”, this note can be given to each child to take home and give to their parents. This note contains suggested questions the parent could ask and discuss as they continue the child’s learning in the home.
