This LDS Sharing Time teaching package is designed specifically for August – Week 1. We have provided wonderful teaching tools and suggestions to help your LDS Primary understand how, “Having Good Friends Will Help Me Choose the Right.”
This teaching package is over 25 pages and includes the following:
Teaching Ideas and Suggestions
- Tips for Planning a Successful Sharing Time
- Sharing Time Suggestions
- “All Aboard the Friendship” Activity – Use this great activity to teach the Primary children about the importance of friends. The children will build a “Friend-Ship” by answering questions and considering different scenarios.
- “Friendship Fishing” – This is a fun Primary game designed to get the children involved in the lesson! Have the children “go fishing” from a pond filled with “friendship fish”. Each fish represents a characteristic of a good friend. But watch out! Don’t catch the crab!
- “How Do you Rate as a Mate?” Activity – Invite the Primary children to fill out this evaluation (by coloring in the appropriate smiley face). Encourage them to think about how they can be a good friend to others!

This note contains suggested questions the parent could ask and discuss as they continue the child’s learning in the home.
