“When was the Gospel of Jesus Christ first preached on the Earth?”

What a great question to get them thinking!  Some may say “when Christ was on the Earth” – so this is a great question to have a teaching moment.

The correct answer is:  “When Adam and Eve and their family was on the Earth.”  You could share this quote by Elder D. Todd Christofferson:

“Beginning with Adam, the gospel of Jesus Christ was preached, and the essential ordinances of salvation, such as baptism, were administered through a family-based priesthood order. As societies grew more complex than simply extended families, God also called other prophets, messengers, and teachers. In Moses’s time, we read of a more formal structure, including elders, priests, and judges. In Book of Mormon history, Alma established a church with priests and teachers.” (October 2015 General Conference)

“What are you doing this week that will build your testimony and protect yourself from personal apostasy?”

This would be a good image to post after the lesson since they will discuss how to protect themselves from personal apostasy during the lesson.  There is a whole section for it on our study sheet HERE in this package.  This is a good follow up image because it helps them apply the lesson directly to their every day lives, and then share with each other what they are doing.

“What are some significant events of the restoration?”

This is another good image for a follow-up after the lesson.  This is a little trivia that they will learn during the lesson.  The lesson contains illustrations of significant events (like the First Vision, the restoration of the Aaronic Priesthood, etc.).  See what they can recall with this social media post!
