What does jewelry have to do with Abraham and Isaa What does jewelry have to do with Abraham and Isaac? Before Isaac and Rebekah ever meet, Abraham sends his servant to find a covenant wife for his son.

The servant prays for guidance. Rebekah responds with generosity and faith, offering water not only to him, but to all his camels. In that moment, he recognizes the Lord has led him to her.

He gives her gold jewelry.

In the ancient world, this was a visible sign of covenant belonging and a symbol that Rebekah was being invited into Abraham’s promised family.

✨ Create jewelry inspired by Rebekah’s story
✨ Use modern beads (like shown here) or make your own with painted pasta, both options are included.

Comment “Week 10” and we’ll send you the worksheet and scripture story reference. We’ll also include a link to the Week 10 Kit, which includes 20+ printable activities, lesson ideas, and teaching helps for families and teachers.

And if you’re looking for even more support, the Lifted Membership gives you access to the app with simple weekly guidance, digital tools, and all the Weekly Kits in one place.

Esau didn’t just trade food for a birthright. He Esau didn’t just trade food for a birthright. He traded something eternal for something immediate.

In Genesis 25, the key moment isn’t simply hunger or red pottage. It’s how Esau viewed covenant responsibility.

Jacob understood what the birthright meant.
Esau asked, “What profit shall this birthright do to me?”

The birthright wasn’t just inheritance. It meant guiding God’s covenant family and helping establish Israel.

And in one decision, Esau chose what felt urgent over what was sacred.

That’s why this story still matters.

It invites us to ask:

✨ Do I recognize the value of the covenants I’ve been given?
✨ How often do small choices reveal what I truly value?

Inside Lifted Membership each week, I walk through the scripture story simply and clearly so you can understand what’s really happening beneath the surface and carry it into real conversations with your family.

Jacob and Esau aren’t just brothers. They’re a Jacob and Esau aren’t just brothers. They’re a fractured covenant family learning what responsibility, repentance, and transformation actually look like over time.

And maybe that’s what makes their story feel so real. Imperfect people still learning how God works through messy relationships.

🎁 Want to study this a little deeper? Comment “STUDY” for a free download from this week’s Verse-by-Verse Study. (Subscribers: this is already included in your Week 10 materials.)

Need a little help making these scripture stories make sense?

In 10 minutes or less each week, I guide you through the story in a simple 1-2-3 video inside the app, helping you carry it into real-life conversations with your kids and family.

This week in Come, Follow Me, we study Genesis 24–33.

These chapters explore covenant identity, personal change, and what it means to become someone new through the Lord. We see journeys of faith, moments of uncertainty, and the powerful reminder that discipleship is not about perfection, but about choosing, again and again, to let God shape who we are becoming.

Jacob’s story shows that transformation often happens quietly and gradually. God does not erase our past, but He invites us to grow into a new identity through covenant and trust.

As President Russell M. Nelson taught:

“We all have our agency. We can choose to be of Israel, or not. We can choose to let God prevail in our lives, or not.”

It’s a week about identity, agency, and the invitation to allow God to become the greatest influence in our lives.

As you begin your study this week, you might consider:
Where is the Lord inviting you to let Him lead more fully right now?
